Wix Editor: Customizing the Overlay of Your Video Background


An overlay is a pattern or texture which appears over your video background to add a cool and interesting affect. You can choose from a number of overlay patterns and change the color.


To customize the overlay:

  1. Click the relevant page in your Editor.

  2. Click Change Page Background.

  3. Click Settings on the video background preview.

  4. Customize the overlay using the following options:

    • Pattern: Select a pattern for the overlay.

    • Darker/Lighter: Select a theme for the overlay.

    • Overlay a color: Click the toggle to enable disable the overlay color:

      • If enabled: Drag the slider to change the opacity and click the color box to change the color.
